D'Angelo and The Vanguard Present Black Messiah

I had just come home from marching in Oakland when D'Angelo dropped the album the world had been waiting fourteen years for. Against the backdrop of Ferguson, Eric Garner, and streets full of people demanding to be seen — Black Messiah arrived exactly on time. This is what it felt like to receive it.
