Returning Through Music

On the first day of Black History Month, I sat front and center at POST Houston while a tribute orchestra played Earth, Wind & Fire — and somewhere between the horns and the keys, I felt Houston finally meet me halfway. What started as a concert became an unexpected history lesson, a homecoming, and a reminder that sometimes a city introduces itself through music.
